Bambu Lab H2C Series – Uncompromising Multi-Material 3D Printing
The Bambu Lab H2C Series is Bambu’s flagship multi-material 3D printer, built around the new Vortek Hotend Change System. Instead of purging filament through a single nozzle, the H2C swaps between multiple induction-heated hotends, letting you print up to seven materials in one job with dramatically reduced purge waste and faster colour changes.
With a 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume, 350°C nozzles, and a 65°C actively heated chamber, the H2C is designed for demanding engineering materials and production-grade multi-colour work.
Envirolaser3D offers the complete H2C line in Canada, including AMS combos and 10 W / 40 W laser combos, plus the Ultimate Sets that add the AMS HT and extra induction hotends for serious multi-material workflows.
Key features of the Bambu Lab H2C
-
Hotend Change Multi-Material Printing
Vortek hotend rack with multiple induction-heated hotends for fast, contactless tool changes. -
Minimal purge waste, cleaner prints
Dedicated hotends per filament dramatically reduce purge towers and “poop” compared to single-nozzle systems, saving both time and material. -
Precise & fast inductive nozzle heating
Inductive heating brings hotends back up to temperature in around 8 seconds, enabling rapid colour swaps without overshooting temperatures. -
Closed-loop servo extruder
High-torque PMSM servo extrusion with feedback control for consistent flow, even at higher speeds and with abrasive materials. -
Full filament path AI error detection
Sensors and onboard cameras monitor the filament path, helping detect tangles, run-outs and anomalies early to reduce failed prints. -
High-temperature performance
-
Max nozzle temp: 350°C
-
Bed temp: up to 120°C
-
Active chamber heating: up to 65°C
Ideal for engineering filaments like PA, PC, and other technical materials (within Bambu’s approved ranges). -
Large, enclosed build volume
-
Total: 330 × 320 × 325 mm
-
Optimised for multi-material workflows while staying compact enough for studio and office environments.
-
Optional 10 W / 40 W laser & cutting modules
Add engraving and cutting to your workflow without another machine on the bench.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Who is the Bambu Lab H2C for?
The H2C is aimed at professional makers, engineers, product designers and serious enthusiasts who regularly use multi-material or multi-colour projects. If you’re still mostly printing single-colour PLA, you might be better served by a simpler AMS-equipped printer. If you live in multi-colour miniatures, product housings, jigs, fixtures, and functional parts, the H2C’s purge-saving Vortek system pays off quickly.
-
How many colours or materials can I use with the H2C?
Out of the box, the Vortek rack supports up to seven materials in a single job. When combined with Bambu AMS units, the system can manage up to 24 filaments automatically, so you can mix standard colours, supports, flexible materials and engineering brands in one workflow.
-
What’s the difference between the AMS Combo and Laser Combos?
The AMS Combo focuses on multi-colour/multi-material 3D printing and includes AMS for automatic filament feeding. The 10 W and 40 W Laser Combos add integrated diode lasers so you can engrave and cut materials in the same machine, turning the H2C into a hybrid digital fabrication system. Ultimate Sets layer on additional AMS capacity and hotends for users who want the most flexible multi-material setup.
-
Do I need an Ultimate Set, or is the standard combo enough?
If you only occasionally run multi-colour jobs, a standard AMS or laser combo may be enough. If you expect to run multi-material work regularly, the Ultimate Sets give you the extra AMS HT and hotends that let you fully load the Vortek rack and minimise setup changes between jobs – a big advantage in busy studios or print farms.
- What materials can I print with the H2C?
Thanks to 350°C nozzle temps, a 120°C bed, and a 65°C active chamber, the H2C is suitable for everything from PLA and PETG to more demanding technical filaments such as certain PA and PC blends, within Bambu’s published material guidelines. Always follow Bambu’s material compatibility and safety recommendations for best results.
