EL3D Nylon filament is a tough and semi-flexible material that offers high impact and abrasion resistance. It is an ideal choice for printing durable parts. Nylon is very resilient and durable. It has excellent strength to flexibility ratio. Easily colored or dyed. Nylon is UV resistant with greater chemical resistance than PLA or ABS.
Nylon is incredibly hygroscopic so don’t leave it out when not in use. Nylon can absorb 10% of its weight in water quickly. When using Nylon on a glass or garolite heated bed a PVA based glue should be used (Elmer’s purple or Scotch permanent glue sticks).
